2019 Kids’ Dance Camps

These half-day, week-long dance camps are designed to introduce young children to the world of dance. Students will learn or review basic dance techniques and other motor skills. They will also be introduced to the world of dance via fun activities, dance stories, and videos.

Pre-K children must be at least three years old at the start of camp. They will focus on ballet only. Please bring a snack and beverage for your dancer. Any dancewear is acceptable during the week.

Students who are entering kindergarten–third grade will be introduced to fun new dance skills in ballet, tap, and jazz. Please bring a snack and beverage for your dancer. Any dancewear is acceptable during the week.

Students entering Pre-K

(Student must be at least age 3 by start of camp)
Tuition: $200 (due in full at time of registration)

  • June 3–7: 3:00 pm–5:00 pm

  • July 8–12: 10:00 am–12:00 pm

Students entering Kinder & 1st

Tuition: $200 (due in full at time of registration)

  • June 10–14: 3:00 pm–5:00 pm

  • July 15–19: 110:00 am–12:00 pm

Students entering 2nd & 3rd

Tuition: $250 (due in full at time of registration)

  • June 17–21: 2:30 pm–5:00 pm

  • July 22–26: 9:30 am–12:00 pm

2019 Summer Intensives

Monday, June 3–Saturday, June 22
Monday, July 8–Saturday, July 27

UDC offers summer intensives for dancers from 9 years old through pre-professional level. These intensives are for dancers who have had basic training in ballet or dance in general. Classes include classical ballet, jazz, modern/contemporary, character dance, and body conditioning.

Intensive classes are taught by UDC faculty, as well as guest artists, including Karina Gonzalez, Rupert Edwards, Nao Kusuzaki, and Andre Silva.

LEVELS III & IV

Tuition: $1,100 (3-week session)
Schedule: 9:30 am–2:30 pm (Monday through Saturday)

  • Conditioning

  • Ballet

  • Pre-Pointe / Pointe

  • Lunch break (bring your own sack lunch)

  • Specialty Class (rotates between Jazz, Modern, Character, Pilates, Stretch & Strengthening, and Choreography)

LEVELS V–VII

Tuition: $1,800 (3-week session)
Schedule:
9:30 am–5:00 pm (Monday through Saturday)

  • Conditioning

  • Ballet

  • Lunch break (bring your own sack lunch)

  • Specialty classes include: Pointe, Jazz, Contemporary, Modern, Character, Stretch & Strengthening, Ballet History, Terminology, Choreography, Pilates, and Variations


DRESS CODE

  • BALLET

    • Ladies—Pink tights, solid-color leotard, pink ballet shoes, hair in bun

    • Men—Black tights, white fitted shirt, white socks, white ballet shoes

  • POINTE AND VARIATIONS: Classical attire; pointe shoes for en pointe students only

  • JAZZ, MODERN & CHARACTER: Black jazz pants or black capris, black jazz shoes

    • Ladies only—black character shoes and character skirt

POLICIES

  • We DO NOT pro-rate or refund money for missed classes.

  • Missed classes can be made up anytime throughout the summer.
